I liked the group "Reflex". I looked at them and thought that when I grow up, I will be like them. I also liked the group "Tatu" - my sister impersonated Lena Katina, and I was Yulia Volkova. We made a backstage from a closet and then went out from there. I seated my relatives and made them watch the performance.
The main goal of your work and what inspires you?
In life, I encounter those events that push me to record this or that song. The goal of my work is to convey to women that our weakness lies in our strength. I believe that we need to be more feminine, refined inside and not be afraid to show our weakness. I want girls to spread their wings while listening to music, just enjoy this life, shine and go conquer this world!
Which musician is your main muse at the moment?
At this stage, I don't have any muses. There are performers that I like, but I've never been a fan of someone.
How did the idea for the new song "Universe" come about?
The song "Universe" reflects the inner state of a woman who is in love. At the time of writing it, I was having an affair, but when the track was already released, we broke up. At the same time, I don't feel sad while performing it.
Favorite song from your repertoire?
All my songs are favorites, because each of them is special to me in its own way.
The most important skill for a musician besides musical ability?
Stubbornness, lack of laziness and thirst for a dream.
What could you do besides music? (Maybe open my own clothing brand like Kanye West or walk the runway like Jared Leto)
I think it would be something related to the media - television, an editor of some show or something like that. In general, I am the kind of person who stands firm in the face of any difficulties, so I am sure that I would find myself in something else, and not related to the media.
Do you think that being a musician is a calling, the will of fate or work?
I believe that in everyone's life there are predestined events that you can't hide from, even if you want to. I had such a story with music. At first, I denied that I wanted to be a singer, but when I opened up to fate, I realized that I had dreamed of this since childhood.
You do a lot of vocal training. Tell us how many hours a week you devote to this activity and do you know how to play any musical instrument?
I practice vocals 2-3 hours a week. Not enough, really. I don't have enough. We are going to increase the number of hours per week now.
What is your personal criterion for success. After which you will proudly say to yourself: "Hurray! I did it!"
In general, I am such a maximalist that I don't even know when I will say something like that. But I have learned to praise myself now even for little things.
Since our publication is dedicated to fashion, what role do you think the artist's appearance plays and what do you convey through your images?
Through my image now I convey femininity, emancipation, but not vulgarity in any way. But now I am the same on stage and in videos as I am in life. I had a lot of experiments, but later I realized that it was a rejection of myself. Now I enjoy the way I look in life and transfer this energy to my stage image.
Please recall and describe your favorite costume from videos, performances. Do you come up with your own looks or does a stylist do it?
Not yet. Sometimes a stylist put together the look completely, sometimes I put it together myself, always differently.
What style do you like the most?
I like to combine styles, that is, I like to combine casual with leather, I like to combine denim, for example, with cotton, that is, so that it is a little brutal, but with tenderness.
The most stylish musician in your opinion?
I like people who can surprise.
What will you choose in clothes: beauty or comfort?
I choose beauty combined with comfort. It all depends on my mood - sometimes I can dress very comfortably, and sometimes I am in such a mood that I will put on stilettos and a corset, but I will feel 100%!
