Olga Selikhova: My strength is not in actions, but in interaction with people.
Tell us about yourself. What role does fashion play in your life?
My name is Olga Selikhova. I am a PR producer and founder of the company "METOD media". We create original brand projects. Our clients are entrepreneurs, experts and media personalities.
I associate fashion with convenience. I love watching how stylists put together looks from fashionable colors of different seasons. It is important for me that it is like a "transformer", so that clothes can be easily combined with each other. I prefer to spend little time choosing my look, even for events, so I always have ready-made looks in my wardrobe. Fashion in my life is delegated to specialists, such as stylists designers who put together ready-made looks, and I just use the quick selection of clothes.
Were you into creativity or fashion as a child?
As a child, I had a dream of making films and interviewing. When I was little, I would approach my friends with a comb and interview them. At the age of seven, my mother bought me a camera, and that's when I started filming everything. I imagined myself as a fashion show host, dressing my girlfriends and styling their looks. I was always on the stage director's side, who would convey all this beauty to the people.
What are your top three favorite brands?
When it comes to clothes, the base is definitely more important than the brand. It is important that it is multifunctional. Clothes should go together. When it comes to shoes, I choose Dior or Prada, I like how beautifully they combine in tailoring, silhouette and design. My favorite jewelry brand is Cartier, I like their "thin lines" in watches, rings and earrings.
Do clothes have to have a "brand" to be bought?
Clothes must have effective marketing to be bought. We value the clothes of the brands that we love and know thanks to a quality marketing strategy. It is important that marketing conveys the values of the target audience.
Do you have an idol? What do you want to adopt from them? What qualities make you admire them?
People are my guide in life and guides to the bright beacon that illuminates my path. My beacon is the Almighty. I am a very religious person and always turn to him for advice or blessing. Each person on my path has their own purpose, and it does not matter what experience they will bring me.
Is your success only your merit or are there other people who helped me on the path to popularity?
My success is thanks to people. I believe that my strength is not in actions, but in interaction with people. People on my path, sent by the Almighty, help me grow. I could not have done it alone. If we talk about significant people, then popularity is the result of my realization. Among them, an important place is occupied by my parents: my mother, who showed that there is a way out of any situation, and my father, who trusted my choice, which helped me become independent. One day, my mother's boss believed in me and paid for my education on credit, for which I am immensely grateful to her.
Anna Maltseva played a special role, she believed in me and in the METOD media project, thanks to her support our project has grown significantly. I am also grateful to Jan Stashkevich, who helped me create and strengthen METOD media on the market, as well as launch the first collaborations with conferences. Within the company, I am grateful to Oksana Urban, who completely built the structure, organized the processes and formed a team. Now everything works efficiently and on time.
Tell us about your style, what is it?
My style is basic. I can wear a black sweater and leggings for a week, in life I prefer a simple and minimalist appearance. I do not wear bright and flashy brands. As my mother used to say, I always look "neat". My style is as basic as possible.
Your top three things that every girl should have in her wardrobe
I will not speak for every girl, I will speak for myself. The "top three" things that I prefer: sports and classic trousers, a plain T-shirt. When it comes to shoes, I prefer heels or flats.
What fashion trends attract you and seem really fresh?
Beautiful costume jewelry can complement any basic wardrobe. Expensive and high-quality watches are very important, and everything else can be costume jewelry. Clothes should remain basic.
Everything new, well-forgotten old?
There is neither new nor old - everything is classic and basic in my case. Since school years, I have been faithful to the classics, and to this day it remains so. For me, stability in clothing is important.
